SCCLS Zombie Shamble

SCCLS Zombie Shamble

Join the Library for this spooky walk along the lakeshore near the Port Huron Branch. Show up anytime from 11 AM-1 PM to sign in and walk. Start at the Main Library on McMorran and follow the path markers until you get to Pine Grove Park and then loop back to the Library. However, beware of the local zombie infestation that has struck the city! Participants who wish to walk will be given a certain colored strip of cloth. A brain cloth means you are willing to be lightly chased by walking zombies. A white cloth means you are "immune" to zombie infection and will be left alone to finish the path. Lose your brain cloth and become zombie lunch! Certain marked sections of the path have zombie volunteers who will WALK toward you to take your brain cloth (like flag football). The first 100 participants will receive a finisher medal regardless of losing their brain cloth or not. People registered after this limit can walk and have fun but are not guaranteed a medal.

Rules:

Runners: Keep your cloth prominently displayed on one side of your body (not your front or back) and make sure it can be easily pulled. Please no roughhousing with zombies. Zombies will not run after you, block your path, trip you, etc. They only want your brain cloth, not your actual brains so don't hurt them.

Zombies: No physical contact beyond reaching for the stripe of cloth. These are Romero zombies who are slow, stumbling, and dim.

Have fun!!
