Great MI Read Tour with Curtis Chin

The Great Michigan Read tour comes to Port Huron at the Don Dodge Auditorium with author Curtis Chin. This program is located at 200 Grand River Ave at the Don Dodge Auditorium. This is the building directly south across the street from the Main Library. Curtis is the author of the memoir Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant which details his life growing up gay and Chinese-American in 1980's Detroit. His family restaurant, Chung's Cantonese Cuisine, was a staple in the Detroit historic Chinatown for decades. In partnership with Michigan Humanities, SC4, and the Blue Water Allies, Curtis will be doing a moderated conversation and book signing starting at 6PM. Curtis will be at the Blue Water Ally Center for an afterglow party following the book signing. The Center is located at 1519 Military St, Port Huron, MI 48060. This author event with Curtis Chin is part of the Great Michigan Read spring tour. The Great Michigan Read is presented by Michigan Humanities. Additional support is provided by national, statewide, and local partners, including the Library of Michigan and MSU Federal Credit Union.
