Classic Cinema: “Doctor Strangelove” (1964)
It is the height of the Cold War and a deranged general has ordered that all bombers are to carry out a surprise attack against the Soviet Union. Over in the War Room, it is up to the President (played by Peter Sellers), his advisors, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Dr. Strangelove (also Sellers) to prevent the bombing and the start of nuclear war. Considered director Stanley Kubrick's best work, this political satire comedy runs for 1 hour and 35 minutes.
